The History of HD PLAN-IT

 

With over 25 years combined experience in association management and event coordination, HD PLAN-IT was founded in 2013 by Susan and Rick Russell.

Susan began working in the medical field in 1983 as a medical assistant for a private practice family practitioner and then as office manager to a private practice general surgeon. After moving to Georgia in early 1991, she began working with Atlanta Plastic Surgery where she remained for 14 years. During that time she developed a relationship with The Southeastern Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons while working with L. Franklyn Elliott, MD as the Chairman and program Director of The Atlanta Breast Surgery Symposium. After moving to Utah she became involved with The Southeastern Society as a freelance consultant and in 2013 joined them as she assumed the management of their organization. Her commitment to the Society gained her the title of Executive Director in 2013. In the following years, new contracts with several other state organizations and medical meetings have been secured.
